Topic: The Joys of Proclaiming Heaven's Urgent Message

(use the audio to study)

Background
We saw last week that in proclaiming heaven's urgent message, all the resources we need have been provided for, by God, for the willing messenger. Indeed, we noted that what the messenger need to proclaim this urgent message has nothing to do with what he (the messenger) may possess, like eloquence, good looks, a bible school certificate, wealth, education, contacts, talents, etc. Instead, it has everything to do with heaven's resources, particularly, the Holy Spirit's gifts bestowed on the messenger. We thus determined that what we need to proclaim heaven's urgent message is heaven's own resources, which are spiritual rather than physical; noting that no one can prevail by the force of strength!

For this reason, we said that God is particular about the messenger being equipped with the in-filling and our-pouring of the Holy Spirit before taking heaven's urgent message with him. We observed, however, that even though the messenger may be endowed with the Holy Spirit, he may still have his frailties. Indeed, the empowerment the messenger receives from heaven is for the conveyance of the message, as well as, for its delivery thereof, and not for personal enjoyment and glory.

Tonight, we conclude the study on this theme, by looking at the joys of proclaiming this all important and urgent message. May the Holy Spirit fill our hearts with joy unspeakable, even as we go on ahead to proclaim heaven's urgent message, Amen.

Scripture Text(s)
Matthew 4:17

There is joy in proclaiming heaven's urgent message. Indeed, they are numerous, and the scriptures provide us with the evidence.
Proverbs 11:18; John 4:36; Psalm 126:5-6; 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20; Proverbs 11:30; Daniel 12:3; James 5:20; Luke 15:4-7, 8-10, 11-24; Acts 8:1-8; 15:3; 13:45-52; Luke 10:17-21; Hebrews 12:2.

Conclusion
O! The joys of proclaiming heaven's urgent message! The joys of a sure reward, of souls entering into the kingdom of God, of wisdom, of rescuing the perishing, of finding and saving the lost, of the Father, of a city, of the church, of the unbelievers, of the ardent disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.

When we see the various joys that emanate from proclaiming heaven's urgent message, it is a wonder that we are not thus engaged on a daily basis. May the Lord help us to rekindle the joy of the Lord, even as we proceed to proclaim this very urgent message!
