Our Sunday audio messages can be accessed from here. These are messages and teachings recorded in the course of our weekly meetings. Each audio is preceded by a synopsis of the message.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to you as you listen.
Prayer is not just mandatory, it is the very essence of any Christian's relationship with God. When we pray, we make it clear that we are dependent on God and that we need Him at all points in our lives.
We look at the kinds of people who pray or say they pray. In this first part, we look at the Hypocrite. This is someone who prays only in public but never or rarely in private. Such an individual loves to pray where people will see him and praise him as a praying Christian, which unfortunately he is not, neither does he intend to be.
We look at another kind of praying man, the heathen. The heathen is someone who has no relationship with God, but desires to get answers to his prayer on the basis of his deeds!
We discuss the last of the three kinds of praying men--the honest man, or the man with an honest or sincere heart. This is a man who is sincere, humble, and without reproach (a man of integrity). The man with an honest heart may in fact be a sinner or one who has backslidden, but has arrived at the place where he realizes that he is a sinner and needs God!
We examine the praying life of the honest-hearted man. His is a mostly private praying life, even though he prays in public as well. His focus is more on relationship with God and thus prays the will of God at all times.
God's awesomeness, almightiness, faithfulness, loving kindness, etc. demands that we show reverence to Him. We must sanctify His name and not make it common.
When we pray "Thy Kingdom Come" what are we really saying? For one, we are saying that the rule, reign and realm of God should be established not just on the earth, but more particularly, in our lives as individuals.
